Sale Price:$31.00 Original Price:$36.00
Long before highways cut through the mountains, Raccoon was a place of creek-bed roads, country stores, old family names, and stories that traveled farther than the town itself.

Racoon was home to Samuel “Squirrel Huntin’ Sam” McCoy from the infamous Hatfield-McCoy feud. Sam and his brother Paris were accused in the killing of Bill Staton during the famous dispute over ownership of a hog. The brothers were tried for the killing and acquitted on grounds of self-defense.
